We have survived the first year!!!

Firstly, I must apoligise for not updating the blog sooner. Life has gotten away on us. I have returned back to work 3 days a week and there seems to be much less time now.
Jacob is now 1. He's a real little boy now too. We had a great party for him, he was very spoilt and I think from what I could tell had a great day. Thanks to all those people that fed him everything from cake to cherios.............

He started walking on the 5th October, a now is hooning around like no tomorrow. Poor Meg doesn't know what's hit her. Soon enough she'll realise that Jacob will spend hours playing with her

Have included some pics of the little man.......

9 months

Jason and I had been waiting patiently for Jacob to reach 9 months so that we could buy him a swing! And he loves it!

Jacob is now crawling like a mad man around the house. He's also pulling him self up and starting to walking around the furniture.............Like father and mother, there's no sitting still.

Jacobs First Mid-summer Night!

Every year it's Latvian tradition to celebrate Mid Summer night or the summer solstice. In true Latvian spirit there's lots of beer, cheese, singing and dancing. Last year Jacob bounced around in my belly, this year he was able to help me celebrate.

8 Months!

Well Jacob is 8 months today! Since the last update a few weeks ago, he now has another tooth. Which as the first caused us a couple of sleepless night. He has progressed slightly in the crawling department, now managing to rock on all fours, but he can pull himself up. I must say that it's strange the order in which they choose to do things. Again, here's some pics.

Jacob Update

Jacob is now 7.5 months. No signs of crawling as yet, just lots of leaning for things that are out of reach so I dare say that movement may not be too far away.

The biggest news that we have is that after many sleepless night, Jacob has his first tooth! YAY! We can also report that his tastes in foods now include many different fruits and vegetables and a few meaty things. Favourite foods include avocado and banana (yes, mashed together) and yoghurt.

Have included some recent photos. There's one playing with his cousin Emma. And one with a rusk which he spends most of the time fighting with Meg (our beagle) over.

Time seems to be flying

Jacob is now just over 6 months. I'm not sure where the time has disappeared to.

We have been very busy this last month too. We had an excellant weekend away at Kingscliff. Jacob had his first swim in the surf with Jason. I think we have a beach lover on our hands!

Jacob has now also learnt the art of sitting by himself and is also discovering food (very messy may I add) .

He also met his cousin Kate (my cousin Ilona's little girl) on the weekend.

Bounce Bounce Bounce

Just some more happy snaps of Jacob just hanging out.
For those of you who don't own a Jolly Jumper, get one.
Time has flown, Jacob will be 5 months at the end of the month.........

Our NZ Holiday

Well we had a very busy time. The main reason for the trip was to celebrate Grandad's 60th and his dads 90th.

The plane trip over was excellent, I only grizzled for 5 mins (a bit more on the way home), we had 4 generations of the Lee's together and I met my great grandparents. Grandad and the boys went fishing but I was too young to go and I went to the beach (Curio Bay) with mum and dad. I had a great time playing with my cousins George, Emilee, Tegan and Zoe too.

Glad to be home again, mum is hoping that I hurry up and get back into some kind of routine..........

Keep you updated, Jacob.

My First Xmas

I was very spoilt for my first Xmas.
